Shrinking Time for More Success

February 23, 2015 by Scott "Q" Marcus Leave a Comment

Shrink your time frame and you’ll get better results.

Do you want a quick method to be feel more successful without changing a thing?

Of course you do; we all do.

Make your “window of success” smaller.

Let me explain.

Have you ever had a day where you felt you completely blew it? If you’re like me, you launch into the “perfectionist creed” of “Wow! I blew it! Well… as long as I blew it, I can really blow it because I can start again tomorrow/next week/next year”

In effect, the feeling of failure triggers more setbacks.

So, instead of looking at your definition of success as being “one day,” how would it feel if you looked at as “three meals.” Then, even if you messed up a whole meal, you were still successful 2/3 of the time. Since you didn’t feel you “blew” the whole day, you’d be more inclined to stick with your program.

Better yet, how would it feel if you looked at day as 24 opportunities to be successful? So, if you messed up from 10PM to midnight, you were still on track 22/24 or 92% of the day. Now, that’s impressive!

If you’re thinking you’re not successful and it’s causing you to give up, maybe the key is to shrink the window of success.

Look for opportunities to prove your success. The more you do so, the more you’ll find.
