What would you say if you found out that a larger bonus might actually cause people to perform poorer?
It turns out that there’s more to production than money. We need purpose, self-direction, and mastery. This makes sense to me as most of the people I know are not “in it” solely for the money. However, this wonderful, animated, delightful ten-minute video by Daniel Pink is going to turn some folks on their ear. Watch it. It’s worth the time.
