I don’t know if this is inspirational or motivational, but it’s funny as heck – and if that doesn’t give you a boost in attitude, I don’t know what will. Enjoy.
Video: Elderly Couple does Impromptu Piano Performance
I’ve done so many videos with kittens and babies, that it’s nice to do one about elderly folks.
This is a delightful video about an elderly couple who walks into the lobby of the Mayo Clinic for a checkup and spotted a piano. As it turns out, they’ve been married for 62 years (he’ll be 90). Check out the impromptu performance – and notice the little switcheroo/grab-her-behind maneuver he does a few times.
Ted Video: Dan Gilbert asks, Why are we happy?
This is an amazing video! It will take you about 20 minutes but it will give you insights into the difference between natural and synthesized happiness. And what’s most amazing to me is the conclusion Dan Gilbert, the presenter, draws (based on scientific data) about whether we’re happier when we have unlimited choices or when our choices are more narrow. (There are also some profound political implications in what he says at the end.)
Watch it.
Video: Bystanders Lift Burning Car to Save Crash Victim
Sometimes, we forget the good in strangers. This video will help change that.
I found this on the GoodNewsNetwork and it’s dramatic – and uplifting.
According to the GoodNewsNetwork:
A 21-year old motorcyclist who collided with a BMW on the campus of Utah State University was lying unconscious beneath the burning wreckage when bystanders rushed to help. Workers at a nearby construction site began to lift the car along with students, while a professor shot the scene on his camera phone from an upper window of a building.
Video: Building a Shelter for a Ferrell Cat for Under $50
I’ve had a few people get in touch with me about a video we did a few years ago about building a shelter for a ferrell cat so – although it’s not 100% about motivation, it is about taking on an assignment and completing it. Besides, it’s kind of cool. Enjoy.
